Guess who got a hold of a Yarn Yoshi Amiibo on Friday?!

So we meet again Mari....ooo wait!? Are you not woolly good? Pretty dusty as well?

This little fuzzy fluff is now available for purchase in the US (alongside Yoshi’s Woolly World for the Wii U) after months of waiting! Cute, furry, a gossamer plush toy, pictures do not justify to the amiable plushie. At the age of 21, I occasionally play with this adorable Amiibo doll, stimulating an actual Yoshi but in the palm of my paws instead of using a control stick. Surrounding the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, there seem to be a woolly stitching around the plush. I asked myself if it was badly sewn; however, upon playing the game, I realized this woolen design is intentional as it is nearly identical to the imperfect design of Yarn Yoshi in the game.

The function of the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo in the game is to behave as a mirror character. Mirroring the movement and action of the player. What makes this function unique is the benefit of having a second player in lieu for those who do not have someone to share the joyful experience of a delightful platform game. However, this furry substitution can be used in a creative manner. I have reached high obstacles without extensive efforts of looking for the question mark clouds that are hidden throughout the level. In addition, the player can swallow and shoot the in-game Yarn Yoshi Amiibo to knock an enemy off screen or damage them. As opposed to the common yarn pellet that just immobilizes an enemy or requires additional pellets to inflict sufficient damage. Keep in mind, this Amiibo is $16.99 at retail price.  In addition to the Green Yarn Yoshi, there is Light Pink Yarn Yoshi, and Light Blue Yarn Yoshi. Although it is simply an Amiibo, this plush makes a great gift solution.
